Check Intervals
How often OpsKitty checks your endpoints, and how interval limits vary by plan.
The check interval controls how frequently OpsKitty contacts each endpoint. A 60-second interval means each endpoint is checked once per minute from every active region. Shorter intervals catch issues faster but consume more monitoring quota.

Configuring the interval
The interval is set per endpoint. When you add or edit an endpoint, select an interval from the dropdown. The dropdown only shows intervals available on your current plan — attempting to set a shorter interval than your plan allows will prompt you to upgrade.
The interval you set applies independently of other endpoints. Two endpoints on the same website can have different intervals.
Effect on alert timing
The fastest an alert can fire is interval × failure_threshold. With a 60-second interval and a failure threshold of 3, the earliest notification arrives 3 minutes after an outage begins. Shorter intervals and lower thresholds reduce alert latency but can also increase noise from transient errors.
